| Hi Folks,
This record is lovingly dedicated to all
my family and friends over the last fifty years or so, who have
cheered me on by asking me to sing for celebrations, social
gatherings, weddings and anniversaries, birthdays, reunions,
campfires, Sunday singings and many emotional departings.
I hope those who have gone on before are saving me just the
smallest corner up there in the shade where I can continue to
sing God's praises for the rest of eternity.
I gave my heart to Jesus at a little country
church revival when I was only seven years old. Many
times, I would to to sleep during the services, but I loved to
hear and sing all those old songs of praise. And, I might
add, it's still my very favorite thing to do. Thank you
all for your love and support. You know who you are.
My mother and my wife have been my most
enthusiastic cheerleaders. Whispering Hope and Peace In
the Valley are my mom's favorites, and Mansion Over the Hilltop
is my wife's. All the rest are favorites of several of my
friends and family, and all are favorites of mine.
Thanks to my mom and my lifelong friend, Bud
Hettinga, for their generosity and financial support. And
I surely don't want to forget those responsible for the
background music and harmonies. My prayer is that some
song on this album touches a heart somewhere and brings a
measure of cheer from me to you. May God bless you one and
all.
